A perfect representation of how I feel about Medical Terminology right now. Final for that class tomorrow. Then one more on Monday and I’ll be free.

I have an intense love for this region of Middle-earth. It’s gorgeous and very calming for me. I lost track of time during the creation process. Guessing about 12 hours? I upped the degree of aging this time by fraying and burning the edges. Really helps the overall look. This is perhaps one of the maps I was looking most forward to creating… the only reason it took so long to get around to is because I lacked green pens. Bilbo gif for obvious reasons. :)

I just want to spend all my time in Middle-earth, okay? I really get lost in these as I go. I keep the films going in the background and it’s just the most therapeutic experience for me. Hopefully you recognize the location names… but if it’s not so obvious, this is going to be The Shire. Will probably only do one more progress shot. Shooting to have this one done by midnight or sooner.

It appears I will not have to worry about the costs of materials my Fire Tech/EMT and art courses in the future (I have proved myself somehow by actually managing to pass my current classes)… which means I’ll be able to afford the big art supplies this summer if all goes well (Cintiq 13HD/iMac)… which will allow me to create better art on a larger scale… which means I actually might be able to do this whole freelancing artist thing until I can secure a position as an actual EMT and/or Firefighter.

Holy shit. I cannot believe my plan is actually fucking working. I have dreams that are… in the process of actually being fulfilled? What?

If you work in or plan on working in any creative field, you will not survive if you are overly pessimistic, negative, and difficult to please. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from hanging around successful musicians and artists, it’s that true professionals simply do not put up with that kind of bullshit. Don’t be the asshole that drags everybody else down out of spite, jealousy, and/or ego. Be optimistic. Learn to love loving things and put away your morbid psychotic unjustified hatreds. Work hard to inspire and also be inspired by the hard work of others.
